No Rain, No Flowers Tour

Kansas City lights the end of the road for this season's most electrifying concert tour. On Sunday, September 7th, 2025, the Black Keys will wrap it up at the Starlight Theatre, with retro-rock band the Heavy Heavy as guest performers. In support of their latest album, the multi-awarded duo who fronted the second garage-rock resurgence in the 2000s rallies for their own revolution. The upcoming "No Rain, No Flowers" Tour follows the recently canceled "International Players" jaunt. It charts more than thirty stops across North America, hitting its largest markets and culminating in this indie rock spectacle in the heart of Missouri.

Shortly after the turn of the 21st century, Ohio-born musicians Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney distinguished themselves as a must-see act around indie circuits. Their acclaimed third album (Rubber Factory ) showed mastery over the era's lo-fi garage-brand rock and would pave the path for their major label breakthroughs under Nonesuch Records. In 2010, the Black Keys recorded their first multi-platinum album (Brothers), and a year later, issued their next (El Camino). This period materialized their now-signature sound, a kaleidoscopic style that spanned blues, psychedelia, and classic rock ‘n' roll. The rest, as they say, is history.

Watch the Black Keys on the gripping finale of their "No Rain, No Flowers" Tour, headlining the titular album one last time. The LP, due for release via Easy Eye Sound, promises their most adventurously eclectic tunes yet, made in collaboration with Grammy nominee Scott Storch and Grammy winner Dan Tashian. Its singles, "Babygirl" and "The Night Before," will be some of the funkiest tunes in the house, embracing the outfit's heady groove and new alt-rock direction. They will also pick classics from their quarter-century catalog. Anticipate Black Keys staples like Grammy and MTV Video Music Award-winning songs "Lonely Boy" and "Tighten Up," plus Billboard Hot Rock Top Fives "Gold on the Ceiling," "Lo/Hi," and "Howlin' for You."

This night will also feature a special guest act to open the show. The Heavy Heavy, best known for hits "Go Down River" and "Real Love Baby," will serve a performance dripping in acoustic swagger, psych-rock, and hazy folk-pop influences.

The Starlight Theatre, Kansas City's oldest institution for the performing arts, celebrates 75 years of championing music, art, and culture.
